MAKING
(explorations in repetition, eyebrows, task-based scores, pedestrian antics, etc, etc, etc...)

My brothers are awkward and gawky. They are truly exquisite. I am drawn to the way they embellish and reimagine and see the world---mesmerized by their performative bravado. They inspire and drive me crazy. My relationship to art --- to dance --- is much the same.
When I move, I can feel desires and questions slip from my brain and ooze out my body. They manifest as quiet exclamations and deliberate secrets; streams of consciousness moving a mile a minute, constantly negotiating a slew of jokes without punch lines.
I am moved by the lusciousness of language, inspired by the act of being together. Sweeping complexities drive the body in a graceful ferocity, darting into and swallowing the space it comes to meet. There is a persistence to doing and seeing and loving and being--- an emphasis placed on the space and the people who comprise it.
My brothers are mysterious creatures who I know everything and nothing about. Movement is much the same.
